Farcaster had strong crypto-native traction but thin awareness among creators across the CIS and Europe. We ran a creator-led onboarding push that turned mini-app launches into signups.

Decentralized social protocol for creators and mini-apps

The challenge: Farcaster had built a loyal, crypto-native core and a growing catalog of mini-apps, but outside that inner circle awareness was thin. Across Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan, creators who could have anchored new communities still defaulted to legacy social platforms, and mini-app launches rarely reached an audience beyond existing power users.

Our strategy: We treated onboarding as a creator problem, not an ad problem. The plan was to recruit a focused set of regional creators and builders, give each a concrete reason to bring their audience on-chain, and tie every activation to a specific mini-app launch or channel so new users arrived with something to do rather than an empty feed.

What we did: Over roughly five months we activated 38 creators across crypto, design and culture niches, coordinated launch moments around new mini-apps, and ran always-on community programming with AMAs and casts. This work was scoped to a focused CIS and Europe campaign rather than Farcaster's global footprint. Paid social and earned coverage amplified the strongest creator stories rather than generic product messaging.

Channels: Farcaster / Warpcast, X, KOL partnerships, Podcasts, Community AMAs

The results: The push onboarded 1,900 new users across Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan, and lifted regional daily active users 2.3x within the campaign window. Creator content and mini-app launches generated 540K in reach, and several activated creators became durable community anchors who kept onboarding users after the paid window closed.
