Revolut entered Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan against entrenched local banks and app-only skeptics, so we ran a creator-led, community-backed funnel that turned curiosity into verified, funded accounts.

Global financial super-app for everyday money

The challenge: Revolut had proven its model in its established markets, but Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan were a different fight: entrenched incumbents, a crowded challenger field led by local names, and consumers wary of moving money to an app-only brand they did not yet recognize. Paid social alone delivered installs that stalled before KYC, pushing acquisition costs above target while verified-account growth lagged the download numbers.

Our strategy: We built the entry around earned trust rather than paid volume. The plan paired regional finance and lifestyle creators who could demonstrate real onboarding with an always-on local-language content calendar and a moderated community that answered objections in real time. Every creator was chosen for audience quality and genuine product fit over raw reach, and spend was mapped to a cost-per-verified-account target rather than installs.

What we did: We activated 26 local KOLs to walk audiences through account opening, card activation and first transfers on camera, then amplified the strongest cuts through paid social. A daily social calendar reinforced the message in each market's language, while community moderators handled KYC and fee questions and PR placed the launch in regional fintech and consumer press. Budget was reallocated weekly toward the creators and formats producing the lowest cost per verified account. This engagement was scoped to a CIS and Europe campaign across the seven launch markets, not Revolut's global footprint.

Channels: YouTube KOLs, Instagram, TikTok, Telegram, Tier-1 PR

The results: Over eight months the push across Ukraine, Kazakhstan, Poland, Romania, Georgia, Armenia and Uzbekistan reached 3.2K KYC-verified accounts and processed $16M in card volume, cutting blended CAC 31% against the paid-only baseline. The regional App Store rating climbed to 4.7 as local-language onboarding support reduced friction, and the creator-plus-community mix became the repeatable engine the market team scaled into new cities.
