Retail traders across the CIS and Europe knew XM's name but defaulted to whichever broker their circle already used. We built a trust-led KOL, education and affiliate engine that turned awareness into funded, active accounts.

Regulated global forex and CFD broker for retail traders

The challenge: XM had strong global brand recognition, but across the CIS and Europe retail traders defaulted to whichever broker their local circle or educator already recommended. Registrations lagged behind awareness, funded accounts lagged behind registrations, and acquisition messaging leaned on spreads and bonuses rather than the trust and execution that actually move an experienced trader. Paid channels were returning diminishing, lower-quality accounts.

Our strategy: We reframed XM around trust and execution for the regional market — tight spreads, fast withdrawals and real support — and built a funnel that led with education and proof over bonus hype. KOL, affiliate and PR channels were structured to compound funded accounts rather than buy one-off registrations, each mapped to a cost-per-funded-account target. This engagement was scoped to a CIS and Europe campaign, not XM's global operation.

What we did: We activated 41 trading educators across YouTube, Telegram and Instagram to walk through the platform, spreads and withdrawals in local languages, stood up an affiliate program with clear payout tiers tied to funded, active traders, and secured coverage across finance and trading media. Onboarding journeys were localized per market, with creative led by real platform demonstrations rather than abstract broker claims.

Channels: YouTube KOLs, Telegram, Instagram, Affiliate network, Finance PR

The results: The campaign drove 2.8K new registrations across the CIS and Europe and converted 2K into funded accounts, while a restructured channel mix cut blended acquisition cost 24%. A focused roster of 41 educators and affiliate-sourced traders outperformed paid registrations on quality, and funded, active accounts — not sign-ups — were the metric the program was judged on.
